HTTP
HTTP (Hypertext Transfer Protocol) is the foundation of any data exchange on the web and a key protocol used for transferring information between a web client (typically a browser) and a server. Originally created by Tim Berners-Lee in 1989 while working at CERN, HTTP was designed to allow the sharing of hypertext documents across different systems and networks.
